Before joining clickair in January 2007, Carlos was a Manager at Abertis Group, where he was responsible in the purchasing department for infrastructures and logistics matters. Abertis is Europe’s leading infrastructure manager and one of the continent’s most important groups in terms of return and financial capacity, its branches are: airports, motorways, parking’s, telecommunications infrastructures and logistics parks. Under his leadership in his area, he managed several RFQ’s finding out the best solution for the company in terms of cost and quality, awarding each business with the more suitable supplier. Prior to joining Abertis, he was involved in the telecommunications industry, first of all in technical areas, but rapidly moving into managing, he also participated in the start-up of the second biggest telecommunications operator in Spain, Retevisión in 1998. Carlos holds Telecommunication Engineering from UPC, Barcelona.
Regarding the aviation industry, his first experience was the clickair’s start up. At the beginning, he managed purchasing and facilities and one of the most important successes during his leadership was moving the staff to an own building, increasing the brand’s value, besides developing purchasing systems and getting savings thorough several tenders. Just one year ago, he additionally got involved in clickair’s fleet, taking care of the relationship with lessors and of the planning and the strategy concerning the fleet.
